5K Run/Walk/Wheelchair - $25

Notes:

• If you register for the WALK you must walk the entire distance.
  If you plan to run at all during the race please register for the RUN.
• Race Limit: 2,000 (first come, first served)
• All net proceeds benefit the Young Athletes Foundation
• This is a rain or shine event.
• There is no race day registration.

		Release: Knowingly and at my own risk, I hereby apply for the Fitger's 5K and do hereby waive and release any and all claims for damages that I may incur as a result of my participation in this event against Grandma's Marathon-Duluth, Inc., Fitger's-On-The-Lake, USATF, City of Duluth, St. Louis County, all sponsors, or any employee, volunteer, or elected official of these organizations for said injuries. I further certify that I have full knowledge of the risks involved with this event and am physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate. If, however, as a result of my participation in the Fitger's 5K, I require medical attention, I hereby give my consent to authorized medical personnel to provide medical care as deemed necessary by such authorized personnel. I understand that the event is held over public roads upon which hazards are possible. Participation carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated completely, ranging from minor injuries to catastrophic injuries including death. I agree to abide by any decision of an appointed medical official relative to my ability to safely continue or complete the event. I further assume and will pay my own medical and emergency expenses in the event of an accident, illness, or other incapacity regardless of whether I have authorized such expense. I hereby authorize the disclosure of medically related information concerning my health, injuries, incapacity or medical emergency that may occur in the course of participating in this event and to allow that information to be provided to a family member, friend, or event official of Grandmas Marathon- Duluth Inc. I understand that this event is non-refundable for any reason and that race numbers are non-transferable. I will not transfer, give, sell or exchange my entry or bib to anyone and I understand that violating this policy may result in a ban from future Grandma's Marathon-Duluth, Inc. events. I also understand the event may be cancelled due to any of the following reasons, among others, including weather conditions, natural disasters, or threats to local and/or national security including suspected terrorist activity. I have read this waiver carefully and understand it. I hereby grant full permission to Grandma's Marathon-Duluth, Inc. and/or agents authorized by them, to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose at any time without compensation. I am aware that this event utilizes the ChampionChip scoring and timing technology and that I will receive a souvenir chip in my race packet that must be affixed to my shoe to receive an official time. I understand that the use of any MP3 players, iPods, cell phones, or other electronic devices while on the course is strictly prohibited. I acknowledge that MarathonGuide.com/Web Marketing Associates has no responsibility for the operation of the Fitger's 5K Run and Walk and are only acting as an agent to register applicants who wish to participate in the Fitger's 5K Run and Walk. Accordingly, I agree to hold MarathonGuide.com/Web Marketing Associates and its agents harmless from any liability or injury resulting from the Fitger's 5K Run and Walk and associated events. Furthermore, I agree that I shall have no claim against MarathonGuide.com/Web Marketing Associates for any injury that may occur during the Fitger's 5K Run and Walk. The individual event operators and sponsors have provided information included in this site and MarathonGuide.com/Web Marketing Associates does not verify the accuracy or completeness thereof. All confirmed orders are final once payment is submitted. MarathonGuide.com/Web Marketing Associates does not issue refunds.
